8th Reading Marathon in Manzanillo, Colima Mexico. Is an event dedicated to celebrating and sharing reading aloud.
It is competitive nature and tries to raise awareness
about the importance of reading for personal development and growth of
societies reinforce shared reading experiences, create a climate that fosters
links between the university and the community.
This year the reading marathon will be held on
Thursday, April 23th, 2015.
The theme that unites us is: reading reunites us to
share with others the love of books, something magical happens: Education for
Social Responsibility.
The 8th Reading Marathon, the Regional Manzanillo of the Universidad de Colima, will be a celebration between readers and
society.
During the day, children, young people, teachers,
administrators, families, neighbors, shopkeepers, businessmen friends,
booksellers, librarians, writers, public and private institutions, local media
(radio, newspaper, television) they will read and listen outstanding classics
of English literature in the Victorian era Charles Dickens, Robert Louis
Stevenson, Oscar Wilde, Emily Brontë.
Since 2008, the Regional Delegation No. 1 of the Universidad
de Colima celebrated this day with a public reading twelve hours non- stop. It
will has read the work of Sean Covey 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, Roy
Martina are a champion, Juan José Areola Confabulario, Juan Rulfo The Burning
Plain (2008), Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra Don Quixote (2009 ), Oscar Wilde's
